Understanding Frail Care

What is Frail Care?

Frail care is a type of healthcare that provides tailored support for individuals who are elderly or impaired, with the goal of maintaining their independence for as long as possible. There are various types of frail care, this can be both a short-term care need as well as a long-term care solution.

When is Frail Care Needed?

Frail care is needed when an individual is unable to cope with everyday tasks and activities or when their health and well-being are declining. It is beneficial for individuals who have a range of medical and social needs and for those who are socially isolated or have difficulty accessing necessary support.

It is important to remember that frail care is not just for the elderly. It can be beneficial for those of any age who are suffering from a range of physical and emotional impairments.

Types of Frail care

There are various types of frail care available to individuals who require assistance with daily activities. It is important to note the various types of senior care that may be suitable for your loved one.

Short-term care:

  • Assisted Living: Assisted living services provide patients with personalised care assistance in a comfortable and safe environment.

  • Palliative Care: Palliative care is offered to patients who require end-of-life care. Caregivers and medical professionals provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families during this difficult time.
